Laser thread vein treatment
VASCULAR LESIONS
Vascular lesions are the result of numerous or large vessels that form directly underneath your skin. They may occur in many shapes and sizes all over the body. With our Motus AY laser you no longer have to accept them, together we can successfully treat your vascular lesions.

While both men and women can be affected by thread veins, they are far more prevalent in women. By their 40s nearly half of all women will be affected, and they become increasingly more common as we age.

FACIAL THREAD VEINS

Facial thread veins (telangiectasia) are small superficial red veins that occur around the nose, across the cheeks and/or chin. We use our Lynton Motus AY to heat the blood vessels, to a point where they are destroyed. After your treatment, the vessels quickly clear as they are reabsorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the original lesion.

Thread veins are extremely common and completely harmless. They are tiny twisted red blood vessels that run close to the surface of the skin making them visible. Also known as spider veins due to their cobweb like appearance, as well as broken veins; however the veins are not actually broken, only slightly enlarged, known medically as telangiectasia. The most common areas of the body to experience thread veins is on the face and legs.

LEG VESSELS

Leg telangiectasias are more difficult to treat because the lesions are deeper, located at different depths, larger than those of facial telangiectasias; which are all located approximately at the same distance from the epidermis, and they present different flow characteristics and a different structure.

For leg vessels we will utilise a wavelength called Nd: YAG, this longer wavelength allows the laser energy to penetrate deeper in order to clear the broken vessels. The laser light can destroy the vein without damaging the skin.
