As with all treatments with ke.SKIN, we’ll first conduct a consultation where we’ll assess your needs, address your goals and expectations, and make recommendations on the most suitable treatment approach for you. We’ll also offer more information about the processes and answer any questions you may have before we get underway.
If we feel laser hair removal could be beneficial for you, there are a few things we need to do before we get going. We’ll identify your hair and skin colour, as well as the hair density, ask you to sign our consent form, and take some photos for your before and after comparisons later down the line. We’ll also complete a patch test before commencing full treatment, to ensure your safety and comfort. This also allows us to adjust the settings to match your hair and skin type, and test that the skin reacts to the laser as predicted. Throughout each step of the process our highly skilled laser practitioners will be by your side - you never need to worry or panic, we’ll be there to put your mind at ease.

Does laser hair removal hurt?With standard laser hair removal treatments clients have reported some discomfort. However, our use of Moveo technology uses gradual heating and the integrated cooling system to eliminate such sensations. This results in a quicker, more comfortable procedure.

Is my skin type suitable for the treatment?We’ll of course complete a full consultation before we get going, but yes! Laser hair removal with Motus AY can be used on both fair and dark skin types.

How does laser hair removal work?Laser pulses directly target existing hair, creating heat energy into the hair follicles that prevent future growth. Are there any side effects to laser hair removal?The appearance of the treated area following laser treatment varies from patient to patient, depending on skin type and other factors. A few weeks after laser hair removal, hairs will shed from the follicle. Transient redness and swelling around the hair follicle may appear immediately after the treatment, this in fact displays to us a positive result indicating the follicles’ response to the treatment.

I suffer with PCOS, will it work for me?PCOS sufferers can achieve excellent results from laser hair removal. However, although the results can be successful, and often life changing, there is no cure, and you may need to continue to have the treatments on a regular basis to maintain a reduction in hair growth.
